An extremely rare liver transplantation saved the life of a 7-month-old baby boy

An extremely rare and unique liver transplantation, carried out by Prof. Lubomir Spasov, Director of Lozenetz Hospital, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Sofia University and National consultant for transplantations in Bulgaria, and his team, saved the life of a 7-month baby boy. This was also the 100th transplantation, which was carried out in University Hospital Lozenetz.
This was announced at a press conference, organized at the hospital by M3 Communications Group, Inc. During the press conference, journalists had the opportunity to meet personally Prof. Spasov, his team, the 7-month baby boy and his mother.
After the transplantation, the baby boy is in good condition with good indicators, corresponding to his age, and has normal liver function.
