Three women awarded L'Oreal-UNESCO For Women in Science fellowships

Three young Bulgarian women were granted 5000 euro each for their outstanding work in science. The grants are within the global L'Oreal-UNESCO For Women in Science fellowship program, which is realized in Bulgaria for the fourth time with the local cooperation of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
The fellowships were granted at an official ceremony, which took place in front of the glamorous Ceremonial Hall in Sofia University. Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO personally congratulated the fellows with a video message, which was aired during the ceremony.
Officials from the Ministry of Education and Science, National Commission for UNESCO - Bulgaria, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia University and other scientific institutions attended the event.
The fellowships were officially granted by Brigitte Streller, General Manager of L'Oreal ADRIA-Balkan and Prof. Rumen Pankov, Deputy-Rector of Sofia University and Chairman of the Jury.
