Seychelles Arrived in Bulgaria for a Special Event
October, 2024The Seychelles continues to be among the most preferred exotic destinations for Bulgarian tourists.
1,880 Bulgarians chose to visit the paradise archipelago in 2023, and just by August this year, nearly 1,500 have already made the journey, according to data from the Bulgarian Unified Tourism Information System (UTIS). This was shared by Mrs. Irena Georgieva, Deputy Minister of Tourism in Bulgaria, during a special event in Sofia, organized by our #M3DreamTeam.
“Tourism is a beautiful harbor of tranquility in times of complex political and economic circumstances. This is exactly what Seychelles represents on a global scale – an attractive and beloved destination for Bulgarian tourists,” added Mrs. Georgieva.
Especially for the event, from the Tourism Seychelles arrived in Sofia Bernadette Willemin, Director General for Destination Marketing, and Lena Hoareau, Manager for Marketing. They emphasized that Seychelles offers much more than beautiful beaches – the islands are full of new tourist opportunities and diverse experiences that cater to the modern needs of every type of traveler.
The event also welcomed Martin Zahariev, Deputy Chairman of the National Tourism Board, Maxim Behar, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Seychelles in Bulgaria, and H.E. Zakia El Midaoui, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Bulgaria and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Bulgaria. Among the attendees were key figures from the tourism sector, including tour operators, airlines, media representatives, and members of the diplomatic corps.

The islands offer something unique for everyone and truly create memories that will stay with you long after you return,” added Maxim Behar, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Seychelles in Bulgaria.
