The Largest Floating PV Park in Europe Could Be Built in Bulgaria by Profine Energy

Bulgaria could become a sustainable energy centre in Europe with the largest floating photovoltaic park in Europe. Dr. Peter Mrosik, owner and CEO of Profine Energy, stated this at the first media event of the energy company in Sofia, organized by M3 Communications Group, Inc. The press conference was attended by the key business journalists in Bulgaria before whom Profine Energy presented its intentions to invest up to 1 billion EUR in Montana region by building a floating solar park at the Ogosta Dam.

For Bulgaria, the solar park is of strategic importance because it will contribute to the local economic growth due to the entire reliance of local supply chain and contractor. It also will help the country to fulfil its obligations towards the European Union regarding green transition. Furthermore, it will support Montana’s economic development and might bring more German and international investors to Northwest Bulgaria.
