Gold Diggers for a Day

The #M3GoldenTeam took over the gold mine in Chelopech and went 320 meters underground for an extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The Dundee Precious Metals mine was the host of this exciting experience and showed the team the whole process of extracting gold.

The day began with a 1.5 h trip to the town nestled at the foot of the Balkan. The team was fascinated by the beautiful autumn colors of the mountain. It was a perfect sunny day for an adventure. The kind hosts welcomed the #M3DreamTeam and after getting acquainted with the company’s history and a briefing on how to behave in an underground mine, it was time to go full miner! The equipment was heavy but necessary to meet all the safety requirements and also, perfect for a photoshoot! 40-ton machines worth 1 million dollars and over 100 km long tunnels were just a part of the impressive sights down there. Everyone was in awe of the scale of the facility.

The tour of the weary miners ended with a delicious lunch prepared by the Dundee Precious team. Everyone got precious presents as well – a beautiful shiny rock of biotite, often mistaken for gold, and branded thermos set. This was the next of a series of extraordinary teambuildings for #M3DreamTeam… and that’s only the beginning!
