Africa Day 2016 Takes a Focus on Women's Rights

The group of African Ambassadors, Heads of Missions and Honorary Consuls to Bulgaria celebrated today the Day of Africa. With the assistance of M3 Communications Group, Inc. H.E. Mrs. Manal Yehia El-Shenawy, Ambassador of Egypt to Bulgaria, gathered the diplomatic corps, authorities, media and friends of Africa.
The event was also attended by Borislav Kostov, Director General of the Bilateral Relations General Directorate in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Mayor of Sofia Todor Chobanov.
A special award was bestowed to the journalist Georgi Milkov for his contribution tо popularizing Africa's culture and business opportunities to the Bulgarian audience.
During the event, representatives of 13 African countries - Algeria, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, Kenya, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Seychelles, South Africa, Sudan and Uganda, made a special presentation of typical Аfrican food and souvenirs. African music accompanied the whole celebration, and visitors were able to enjoy glorious pictures and views from all over the continent.
